Welcome to the blog, thanks for reading; any likes and subscriptions (100% free) are very gratefully received.
The Blog
Primarily the blog is about Welsh domestic football and the Welsh national football pyramid.
It isn’t a news or aggregation site, although occasionally some features may fall into that category; there is no specific scope except I will be writing about football in Wales. 99% of the time it will be domestic football, but there might some content that extends beyond that horizon.
I’ve tried doing a Welsh football news site, I don’t have the time do it properly and there are other people already doing a fine job of that anyway. Welsh football doesn’t need another independent media source, it needs better mainstream national coverage.
Here you will find extremely anecdotal accounts of matches, probably some opinion, club and ground focuses, features with some of Welsh football’s personalities, research into the history of Welsh domestic football and plenty of amateurish photography (mine) . There will probably be other stuff too, whatever I fancy writing about. Yeah, it’s a 100% self-indulgent hobbyist’s blog.
The Author
I, Jordan Forster, have been following Welsh domestic football for several years in various capacities. I’m first and foremost a spectator, but have written for the likes of Y Clwb Pel-droed, Welsh Soccerites, Y Gem (which was my own online publication), Cardiff Met Uni FC official matchday programme, as well as occasionally providing photographs for Welsh Soccerites and Welsh Football magazine. I am also a committee member at Pontypridd Football Club (which is where I spend most of my Saturdays).
